Christmas Closure

Both Fisher Lane Mobility Abbotsford and Braybrook will be closed on the
24th of December and the 31st of December.

Our founder's turning 80!

For those of you who don’t know Fisher Lane’s founder Geoff Belleville well, we thought we’d
share a brief Bio on him in the lead up to our surprise party for his 80th birthday.
Geoff is a pharmacist by trade, taking over the family business in the 50’s from his Dad,
Greg Belleville. The pharmacy at 211 Brunswick St Fitzroy was the foundation that FL was
born from. After recognising the need in the 80’s to add crutches and walking frames and basic
assistive equipment to the pharmacy range, FL started out taking up a corner space in his
Brunswick St Chemist and soon became a great addition to their presence in his hospital
pharmacy at St Vincent’s Private.

Over the years as a Pharmacist, Geoff took on 4 business partners and together they opened
7 Pharmacies across Melbourne. Geoff’s interest in assistive technology grew over the years
and this saw him travelling overseas to source products and resulted in the FL and Karma
union and the expansion of Fisher Lane. While the Pharmacy was booming financially, Geoff
decided to sell his share as senior partner in the Pharmacy his Dad had started and pursue the
growth of the new business that was Fisher Lane Mobility. FL moved into it’s own store
209 Brunswick St until it outgrew the site and moved in the early 2000’s to Abbotsford.

Geoff was a pioneer in our industry and is held in high regard by many for his ethos of service
and dependability. After handing the reins over to Anth,Kate and Ben in 2008 Geoff has enjoyed
going back to College to study theology, work on his golf swing, and engage in overseas philanthropic
work in Manila building homes for street kids.
Geoff’s larger than life approach to everything he does, his huge heart, his offbeat humour is unique
to say the least. He has set a high standard as a human being, a business owner and a kind generous man.
We are looking forward to celebrating Geoff’s 80th birthday with him in the week’s ahead.
