Letter from the General Manager
Yes, it’s that time of the year!
2016 has flown by and there have been
many changes in the Assistive Technology
industry (mostly good). FLM has had a positive 12 months welcoming new
Therapists,
Customers and FLM team members (& a couple of new baby Fisher Laner's), the
request for
our services was very strong throughout the year 2016 and we look to start the
New Year
even stronger.
This year FLM’s focus was set on
improving our customer’s service by targeting area’s such as
showroom experience, professional
training sessions, reducing delivery time frames, technology,
social media and increasing our own
product knowledge in which I hope you have all seen the positive results.
It is a privilege to lead such a
group of professional and dedicated staff who continue to strive for
excellence delivering mobility and
assistive technology products to the market, with their support
and commitment we were able to service
the needs of over 10,000 customers throughout 2016.
So in the run up to Christmas I again
would like to thank you personally for your support and from
the team at FLM, we wish you a very safe
and Merry Christmas.
All the best for 2017!

Read his story below:
"I’m
not sure exactly why, but around late November I kind of had the idea that I
wanted to raise some money for a charity. I think this time of year really
makes you
think about those who are going without and I’ve been so lucky and had such
an
incredible year that I wanted to do something for those in need. I started
looking around
for a charity that I could get behind, and I found FareShare; I love
their mission, what
they do has such an immediate impact and is such an elegant solution to food wastage
while feeding those who would have gone hungry. I had the privilege of
meeting some of
the team from FareShare and they gave me such great support from the
start.
The run started at 3:30pm on Saturday and by that stage Melbourne had really turned
the weather on for us. Kim organised a bunch of our friends to come down and support from
a sunny vantage point; handing me drinks, gels and cheering me on each lap. A group of
my friends who run also came down and did some laps with me. I really couldn’t have completed
the run without the support of my
friends and family.
The run took me just over 5 hours in total, so I ended up
finishing at about 8:30pm. I celebrated
with an ice cold beer and a hot shower. The very next day we hit our
fundraising goal of $5000.
It was such an incredible experience, very tough but very rewarding.
I really cannot thank everyone that donated and spread the word
for this fundraiser enough.
It has been incredibly humbling to witness the generosity of those around
me".
