New Jumbo power unit with built-in battery charger. Now the Elf is even more ideal for home use. The new Elf is fitted with a neater, smaller power source that is recharged by plugging into any power point when the lifter is not in use. The unit's battery will power at least 60 lifts between charges and may be left plugged-in at any time for top-up charging. The removable battery pack also allows an optional wall charger to be used. The combination of an optional wall mount battery charger and extra battery pack allows for continuous use in institutions.

The advanced electronic control and power system ensures silent, reliable and safe patient lifting. Push-button raise and lower controls provide extra convenience for carers. Emergency stop and lowering functions provide the carer with complete confidence.

A buzzer and handset lamp indicate low battery status. Surface-mount electronics and a system protection rating of IP43 provide ultimate reliability in even the most rigorous environments.

New actuator features. Valuable improvements to safe, easy operation of the Elf actuator include a manual override allowing the lowering of a patient in the event of total power loss and an anti-crush feature which stops the motion of the boom in case of resistance during lowering. The slimmer, offset actuator mechanism now allows even more space for patient comfort and confidence which is especially important in lifting from the floor or bath. The actuator offers improved power and speed, and the same quality mechanical excellence.

Highest quality Colson castors. Pro-Med specifies the top- of-the-range, internationally acclaimed, Colson castors. These stylish twin-wheel castors feature needle roller bearings and in combination with polyurethane tyres provide straight tracking, easy manoeuvring and effortless pushing. Total lock brakes are fitted to the rear castors.

The Invacare Reliant is a mobile, powered stand up hoist. It incorporates six loop attachment points for the sling and two grip points for the user therefore enabling adjustment of the users position. The Reliant stand up hoist transfers the user from seated to supported standing and back. It is suitable for use in domestic and institutional settings.

The Reliant has a soft padded, pivoting knee pad with lateral contours which secure the legs into position.

To raise and lower the user the attendant uses a hand held remote unit, on an extendable, flexible cord. A hook on the control unit allows the controls to be attached to the handle of the hoist. The hand held controls allows the attendant or the person in the sling to control the lift.

The Reliant Stand Up Hoists are supplied with two batteries and a recharging station, which can be wall mounted.

The battery charger can be wall mounted.There is an audible recharge alarm when the battery becomes low on power.
